Ignite ID Program

A Structured Approach to Player Development

Our ID Training sessions are built around a structured curriculum designed to help athletes improve the skills that translate directly to game performance.

Every drill, teaching segment, and game is designed by our coaching staff to develop skill, decision-making, and confidence on the court.

Most sessions include 6-8 athletes, allowing coaches to provide detailed instruction while maintaining a competitive environment.

What do we teach at ID Training Sessions?

Each session follows an organized curriculum model:

1. Warm Up
Ball-handling, finishing, and light movement work to get athletes comfortable with the ball and ready to train.

2. Ignite Fundamentals
The core skill segment of the session (about 25 minutes) focused on key areas such as ball-handling, shooting, footwork, finishing, attacking moves, passing, defense, and rebounding.

3. Skill Focus
Coaches introduce a specific basketball concept such as pick-and-roll reads, off-ball movement, shooting off movement, or game-specific finishing.

4. Progress Tracking
Players complete measurement drills designed to track improvement in areas like ball-handling, speed, shooting, finishing, and athletic ability.

5. Small-Sided Games
Sessions finish with competitive games like 1-on-1 or 3-on-3, allowing athletes to apply skills learned during training in live situations

Player Development Reports

ID athletes receive individualized progress reports monthly & quarterly, giving players and parents real-time feedback directly from Ignite’s coaching staff.

These reports highlight strengths, areas for improvement, and performance results from Ignite’s training measurements. Our goal is to track athletes development in both measurable ways (objective testing) and through personalized coaching insights (subjective evaluation).
