Tyler played college basketball at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI, and graduated in 2022 with a masters degree in Sports Management. As a player, Tyler’s career highlights include recording 13 double-doubles in a season, a 40 point game, and setting a school record for charges taken in a season (44). Before competing in Division III athletics, he was a member of the “scout team” at Arizona State where he enjoyed the opportunity to practice against a Sun Devil women’s team that spent time in the AP Top 25 throughout his two years with the program. 

What Tyler loves most about the game is the confidence and the mental toughness that can be built from competing in the sport. He loves the grind of being in the gym for hours, working on his game, and listening to Taylor Swift on repeat.

What makes Ignite special to Tyler is the people involved in the program. Ignite has coaches who love to teach the game, and players who show up every day to get better. Some of the hardest working players and some of the best teammates he has ever seen have played for Ignite. He knows that it’s a blessing to have those kinds of players at Ignite.

Outside of basketball Tyler enjoys quilting & a good rom-com. His all time favorite movies include, The Notebook and Bring it on Again. “True classics, “ he says, “I cry every time”. Tyler would consider himself a Fortnite savant. He plays squads with his dad and two brothers, and all they get is wins. His favorite drink is water and he hasn’t eaten carbs since 2007 (allegedly).
